Planning a Wedding is one of the most magical days you will ever plan but it can also be extremely overwhelming and in some cases stressful because there are lots of intricate elements to plan and get them to all seamlessly come together, much like a jigsaw puzzle.
This is where have a Wedding Planner will help as they bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to reduce the overwhelm and ensure that everything goes smoothly so that you get to enjoy your day.
Now you may be thinking that a Wedding Planner is going to be expensive but in truth they can save you money! I’m going to break down my ‘5 Reasons to Consider a Planner’ and let's see if at the end of this you still think its an expense you can skip.
1 - Budget Management
Budget is the biggest and most important element of planning a Wedding, without this your decision process is a lot harder! I harp on about it a lot on my socials and created a Budget Tracker to help couples ensure they’re sticking to their budget and if they’re close to exceeding then being able to see what things could they cut back on - Wedding favours for example.
A Wedding Planner will assist you with managing your Budget and in some cases will get you a discounted rate with suppliers because they haven’t had to do as much marketing to get the booking, and thus saving you pennies!
2 - Supplier Vetting
A Wedding Planner will do all the vetting of suppliers so that you know you’re booking with trusted and reputable companies as after all in some cases your paying £1K+ per supplier!! I have seen a few instances recently where couples have been let down on their Wedding Day and it is now leading to future couples having to look for a new supplier as they’ve lost money and no longer have a massive budget! A Wedding Planner ensures this won’t happen and has a Plan B should emergency circumstances happen.
3 - Timeline
A Wedding Planner will keep you on track for your planning timeline ensuring that no element is forgotten but they will also help you create your timeline of the day so that everything flows and you're not left with crazy gaps for your guests to wonder whats going on which can lead to them heading to their room and then being late for the next important part of the day.
4 - Accountability
They will keep you accountable and ensure that if you need to send any particular information to a particular supplier that this gets done. Such as your song choices to your DJ for the evening, your photo list to your photographer and most importantly that you have paid all your suppliers! The last thing you want to be doing is trying to pay a supplier on your Wedding Day!
5 - Coordinate the Day/Assist the Venue
Finally they will then coordinate the day, being the point of contact for your guests and suppliers ensuring everyone and everything is where it should be at the time. Being an extra pair of hands for the venue so the venue can concentrate on their team and of course, having Plan B should something happen that can be implemented without you realising the plan ever existed or that things a different.
A Wedding Planner truly is your Fairy Godmother and your Best Friend. The most important thing that a planner will do is keep you calm and remind you that this day is YOUR DAY and no matter what family and friends are trying to suggest you have to do what you want!
If you’re still unsure about having a Wedding Planner then please pop me a message and we can have a cuppa as no one should regret or stress over their Wedding!
