Georgia and Tom...

Happy Sunday! You know what that means - it's time for another exciting blog featuring another one of my amazing couples! Today, I can't wait to share the heartwarming love story of Georgia and Tom, who chose to say "I do" at the ever-charming Glenfield registry office - a place that has become like a second home to me.

Most registry offices tend to be at council buildings, with drab concrete exteriors, which can make a ceremony feel more like a meeting at an office than anything, but the staff at Glenfield really take the time to make sure the rooms and surrounding grounds are fit for purpose, so I'm never disappointed when I get to shoot a wedding there, as I've more or less become part of the furniture.

As has been the case with most weddings recently, the weather has been a constant threat, as there's been pretty much no break in the rain. I'm sure the couples I have booked in for the coming weeks ahead are going to start arriving by Dhingy, so it's made capturing those lovely sunny summer wedding shots a challenge to say the least.

Now, not every couple wants a full day of photography. No two couples are the same, so it might mean one couple only wants a couple of hours of coverage, whereas another might want a full day of photography, but either way, no matter if it's an hour I'm booked for all a whole day, my level of commitment remains the same come what may.

This was just the case with Georgia and Tom, and even though it was just a short couple of hours I had booked with them, we still had a massive laugh, made the most of our time together and captured lots of wicked photos!

As per the time-honoured tradition, Tom arrived first and was swiftly taken in for his pre-wedding interview with the registrars. Meanwhile, Georgia, accompanied by her stunning bridal party, made her grand entrance, ready to begin the enchanting journey of their love story. While Tom was still wrapping up, we cleverly positioned Georgia in one of the side rooms, ensuring that their very first look would be the magical moment when she gracefully walked down the aisle, and not a moment sooner!

Nerves were definitely a huge factor for Tom, and when we had him positioned at the top of the aisle in front of all their guests, it was plain to see he was struggling a little, but as is always the case, the moment the bride appears, all the nerves were just washed away, and you could tell there was definitely a wave of relief when Georgia and the bridal party finally made their big entrance in front of all their friends and family.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful mix of love, laughter, and a touch of nerves. The couple exchanged vows, promising to support and cherish each other for a lifetime. Though we had to repeat some legal lines, it was all part of the charm that made their day uniquely theirs. Love, after all, is about embracing the imperfections and cherishing the moments that make each wedding truly one of a kind.

With the ceremony complete, we headed outside for group photos. And guess what? The sun made a brief appearance just for Georgia and Tom! It was a welcome respite from the rainy days we've been having recently. The soft golden glow added a touch of magic to the pictures, capturing the happiness and love shared among the couple and their family and friends.

After capturing the group shots, I stole some precious moments with the newlyweds, photographing them in their element. We laughed, shared stories, and created relaxed and beautiful posed photos. It was a joy to see them forget any pre-wedding jitters and simply revel in each other's love. The love they had for one another was evident in every shot, and it was a privilege to be a part of their special day.

Time seemed to fly by, and before we knew it, it was time for the wedding party to head to the reception venue. I left, knowing that Georgia and Tom's love story was just beginning, and they would cherish many happy years together. It was an absolute pleasure capturing their special day. They are a wonderful couple, and their love radiated in every photo we took. Rain or shine, love always shines through.

That's it for this week!

Peace, Love and Photo's.
